Collection: Maltese Cross

The Maltese Cross was introduced to Malta by the Knights of St. John of Jerusalem when they took possession of the islands in 1530. It has since become an important element of Maltese culture and tradition, as well as a beloved symbol among the Maltese. The eight points of the Maltese Cross reflect the Knights of Malta's eight langues, namely Auvergne, Provence, France, Aragon, Castille and Portugal, Italy, Baviere, and England.
